The General Command of Ajman Police launched 15 initiatives to translate the strategy of the Ministry of Interior aimed at achieving security throughout the country, to embody the initiatives and plans that were launched previously with the aim of developing security services provided to the public and enhancing the march of security and safety among members of society through harnessing modern technology in the services provided to the public, and employing them in Monitoring and follow-up. Brigadier Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police confirmed that many security and criminal systems have been developed, referring to the follow-up of criminal cases electronically, the stolen phone program, and the Mersal electronic program in coordination with the Public Prosecution. Going to the field, being close to the community, touching their needs, and raising them to the concerned authorities, in addition to creating a rapid intervention patrol to carry out direct intervention tasks in cases of burglary and emergency cases. The commander of Ajman Police stressed the importance of the initiatives implemented by the leadership in reducing the crime rate by 12% in the past year and the decrease in the alarming crime rate by achieving a rate of 4.6% as a result of implementing 3 strategic initiatives, namely developing investigation methods and dealing with criminal phenomena and applying a plan to manage the perpetrators’s affairs after their release, and developing Security Awareness Spreading Program, pointing to an increase in the percentage of detection of unknown crime to 80% as a result of staff qualification and an increase in investigations and seizure campaigns, as well as a sense of security to 96.5%, and this high percentage was achieved as a result of security work carried out by the police and proximity to society through the initiatives of the department Community Police. Among the most prominent work accomplished by the Ajman Police General Command is the rehabilitation of inmates of the penal and correctional institution, where 39% of the inmates were trained in vocational, social and cultural programs aimed at integrating them into society and developing a system to obtain a proof of status to become electronic by issuing the certificate within a minute.
