Ajman Community Police receives 325 cases this year

The community police department of the General Command of Ajman Police received 325 cases this year, where it managed to solve 75% of them.Marital disputes and emotional blackmail came at the forefront of the cases mentioned to the department, due to the posting of pictures of girls on social networking sites sometimes without their knowledge, and the inclusion of others on some fake websites. On the most prominent societal police initiatives and actions during the current year, Captain Dr. Mohammed Al Suwaidi, head of the community police department in Ajman Police, stated that in 2015, several initiatives were highlighted, including the interest of the Ajman Police General Command in launching police and community patrols, which are patrols operating in all residential neighborhoods to communicate with people and transfer their problems And contribute to its solution with the concerned authorities in the emirate such as the Municipality and Planning Department,The initiative to honor the departed was implemented, in which all traffic violations for the deceased were dropped and the family of the deceased was discharged with clearance, as well as violations of public parking of the municipality. Finally, the campaign “Together Against Emotional Electronic Blackmail” was launched. These initiatives are aimed at serving the community, strengthening the role of the community police, and reducing From issues and fighting crime before it happens by organizing awareness lectures and protecting young people from various dangers. Al Suwaidi stated that the cases that were reported to the community police were absenteeism from the house 8 cases, behavioral deviation 5 cases, adverse events and threats 18 cases, marital differences 128 cases, family differences 69 cases, school problems 12 cases, post-divorce differences 26 cases, and personal problems 10 cases.He pointed out that the police and community patrols have written 1338 reports, including 956 security reports, 136 social reports, 168 traffic reports, 11 awareness and guidance reports, 4 proposals in addition to 63 consolation reports. Al Suwaidi warned of the danger of girls falling into the clutches of blackmailers on social media, pointing to the occurrence of 18 cases of emotional blackmail for young girls who were cheated by fake people on social media, where they are approached and asked for pornographic images, and upon receiving them the fake person threatens the girl By requesting the establishment of a forbidden relationship or threatening to spread pornography through social networks to expose the girl, stressing that this matter breaks girls ’psyche and ruins their social life. And that the community police organizes programs and lectures for female students at the secondary and university levels to introduce them to the dangers of emotional blackmail and warn them not to be drawn into illusory relationships in the web, in addition to distributing educational leaflets to young people about the danger of some external websites that target them for the purpose of extorting the money. Al-Suwaidi pointed to the occurrence of a case in which a girl was victim, whose photo was published on a pornographic site without her knowledge, which caused her great embarrassment among her family and acquaintances, and the matter was investigated and it was revealed that her friend was the one who put her picture on the site.Al Suwaidi called on parents the importance of monitoring their children and the knowledge of the speakers with them on social media, advising girls not to obey the requests of stalkers on social media or suspicious websites, stressing that the community police are solving family issues with complete confidentiality to preserve the family entity and protect society.
