5338 crime in Ajman with a 17%

Security statistics issued by the General Command of Ajman Police revealed a decrease of 1095 crimes, or 17%. The number of cases registered by the General Command of Ajman Police during the past 9 months was 5338. While the same period last year registered 6,433 cases, and the crimes against money topped the list of registered communications, where registered 4155 cases, while the same period last year registered 4950 cases. Followed by crimes against people, with 548 cases recorded during the current year, while the same period last year registered 655 cases, and the figures confirmed that there is an aesthetic reduction of all types of cases registered in all the comprehensive police stations in Ajman residential areas. Brigadier General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Ajman Police Commander, said in a statement to the «statement», thank God that there is a decrease in the rate of crimes recorded during the last nine months of this year, compared to the same period last year. He attributed the issue to the implementation of the Ministry of Interior's strategy to reduce crimes that pose a threat to the security and safety of the community and to tighten the continuous monitoring of all residential areas, which contributed to the reduction of crimes. Efforts were also directed towards areas that witnessed specific crimes during the same period last year . The Commander of Ajman Police said that the police leadership is working hard to enhance security and safety and to work in the light of criminal statistics, in order to reduce the percentage of closed crimes, especially crimes that threaten the stability and safety of all members of society. Brigadier Naimi attributed the rise in the number of drug cases during the past nine months to 181 cases under the law of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances over the same period last year, with an increase of ten cases, to control efforts and follow up suspects and fight drug traffickers.
