Within the policy adopted by the General Command of Ajman Police in strengthening cooperation with various institutions and government departments in the emirate, and on the occasion of World Diabetes Day, the Information and Public Relations Department of Ajman Police, in cooperation with the Education and Health Promotion Department of Ajman Medical Region organized an awareness lecture on “Diabetes in children, its symptoms and causes And how to prevent it "which was implemented in the Abdul Sattar hall in the Traffic and Patrols Department building, in the presence of the officers, described the officers and individuals affiliated with the Ajman Police General Command and a number of medical staff in Ajman Medical Region, provided by Dr. Azza Al-Ansari And diabetes in the Mushairif Health Center in Ajman.
During which I dealt with the scientific concept of diabetes, its causes and symptoms, how to know the child with diabetes, the index of drop and rise in sugar in children and how to treat and prevent it, in addition to the importance of exercise, walking and eating healthy food to ensure a healthy and healthy life.
Dr. Azza Al-Ansari also provided advice to employees on the need to monitor children and note changes in them to avoid the risks of diabetes, as well as the need to eat healthy meals and avoid fast food, and reduce eating meals that contain sugars, manufactured materials and hydrogenated oils, in addition to exercising regularly to avoid diseases .
The lecture also included the participation of children with diabetes heroes who suffer from diabetes from the children of employees, whose ages ranged between 11 and 12 years, and each of them explained how he discovered the disease at the age of four and seven, and how he lived with him from his childhood until now, and the healthy pattern he followed to preserve his life from Complications of diabetes in addition to the social life he followed in spreading awareness of others about diabetes through participating in community and health initiatives. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Azza Al-Ansari was honored for her fruitful lecture she gave to the employees, and children of diabetic heroes were honored for their attendance and active participation in the lecture.
On the other hand, the medical staff from the Health Education and Promotion Department of Ajman Medical Region conducted medical tests to measure blood sugar, measure the pressure of employees and dealers at Ajman Police, and provide guidance and awareness-raising advice to them to adopt a healthy life free of diseases.
Major Noura Sultan Al-Shamsi, Head of Information and Public Relations at Ajman Police, stated that organizing an awareness lecture for police employees comes to the importance of spreading health awareness and encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles for employees and their children, and making them aware of the importance of maintaining a sound health for them and their children in a manner that achieves comfort and happiness for them, praising the role of the Ajman region Medical and Health Education and Promotion Department for their continuous endeavors and efforts to spread health awareness, and the preventive and curative measures necessary to preserve the health of all segments of society in the emirate.
