Ajman Police participate in the Knowledge Force session on intellectual property rights and innovation

Under the patronage of Sheikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, in the presence of Sheikha Nora Al Nuaimi, Director of the Ajman Center X, and His Excellency Major General Dr. Abdul Quddus Al Obaidli, Chairman of the Emirates Intellectual Property Association, the General Command of Ajman Police participated in the Knowledge Force session organized by the Municipality and Planning Department Ajman in cooperation with the Ajman X Center on Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation. The session was opened by Sheikha Noora Al-Nuaimi, in which she welcomed the attendees and talked about the importance of solidarity of all parties and stakeholders in supporting intellectual property rights in the UAE. Then Major General Abdul Quddus Al-Obaidli talked about the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and their economic role, and the leadership of the UAE in the field of intellectual property, as he reviewed the national strategy for advanced innovation. In the discussion session held entitled "Intellectual Property Rights .. Challenges and Solutions", His Excellency Lt. Col. Ghaith Khalifa Al Kaabi, Head of Al Nuaimia Police Station in Ajman Police, spoke about the role of the police in combating counterfeiting of the trademark, and the mechanism for forming work teams in cooperation with the Consumer Protection Department and raids, inspections and seizures Counterfeit goods and promoters, and take measures to arrest the accused and take their statements. Eng. Mohamed Al Shamsi, founder and president of Robohatic Company, economist Ahmed Al-Tarbaq, and Mr. Malik Hanouf, Chairman of the Board of Trademark Board participated in the session, and the participants recommended to intensify cooperation for the continuity of holding conferences to exchange experiences and spread knowledge in the field of intellectual property rights protection, and to organize external visits to The developed countries to get acquainted with the successful experiences and benefit from them, in addition to enhancing cooperation and coordination between the customs authorities in all emirates of the country to control counterfeit goods and limit their entry into the state, in order to preserve its health and safety, especially in the aspects that threaten Community safety such as car tires and spare parts.
