The General Command of Ajman Police denied the false news and rumors published by the "Okaz" website about the occurrence of crimes in the Emirate of Ajman during the past days, stressing that the published news is unfounded, and there are no reports in Ajman police stations about the crimes mentioned in the site.
Major Mohammed bin Yafour Al-Ghafli, deputy director of the Department of Criminal Investigation and Investigation, said that the aforementioned site published false news about a mother’s suicide with her children and about a husband who harms his wife in the Emirate of Ajman, and this news includes dealing with a trading company in the state, stressing that there is no truth to what was published at all .
His Excellency added that after research and investigation it was revealed that the rumors were issued by a trading company outside the country for the purpose of publicity and advertising, by using the name of Ajman Police and claiming its presence in the country to attract the largest number of participants in trading, as it was found that the Okaz site was hacked to spread these lies by this company .
The Deputy Director of the Department of Criminal Investigations and Investigations indicated that, in connection with the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, links and rumors that were published by the website have been counted and they will all be blocked in the coming hours.
His Excellency warned against ratifying such sites and dealing with them or republishing them, stressing that the Ajman police will not tolerate anyone who publishes rumors or circulates them in any way, indicating that the UAE law criminalizes and punishes anyone who commits this type of violation.
