Abu Dhabi and Ajman police overthrew two gangs, "winning valuable communications awards", using deceptive methods to seize the victims ’money in different regions of the country.
The gang members consist of 24 Asians, and they have job advantages, such as housing, food and drink, and monument tools, and their training in mobile fraud techniques.
The first gang gives its members a percentage of interest, in exchange for what they rob from fraud, while the second pays a monthly income of 1,200 dirhams per person. All perpetrators admitted to participating in the crime in advance planning, distributing roles among them, and reselling victims' phone credits in amounts less than their real prices.
They were transferred to the judicial authorities, to complete the rest of the legal procedures.
Abu Dhabi Police called for non-response to calls and phone and electronic messages, which promote fake offers and benefits, and to report any suspicious communications.
