 The General Command of Ajman Police launched the "implantation of Zayed" award initiative within the package of the Zayed Year initiatives, which aims to enhance environmental sustainability and create a healthy environment for workers and dealers with leadership and encourage competition between Ajman police departments.His Excellency Brigadier Ali Hamid Al-Mussaybi, Chairman of the Zayed General Committee, said that the launch of the Zayed Plantation Award, which is the first of its kind in the state in terms of police sectors, came in implementation of the aspirations and vision of the Emirates and to achieve the strategic goals of Ajman 2021 vision in protecting environmental diversity and supporting and developing natural resources and developing The environmental sense of the leadership staff by actively participating in the award.For his part, First Lieutenant Mohamed Ali Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Zayed Prize for Agriculture, stated that the team relied on building the evaluation mechanism after reviewing the best practices in studying and evaluating practices related to environmental sustainability, through studying international and local standards that contributed to defining five main criteria and 11 sub criteria that included Aesthetic form, proper distribution, quality of maintenance, innovative use, environmental diversity and safety, security and health systems.The award started since last July and lasted for 9 months, and was completed in three stages: the initial evaluation, the foundational evaluation and the final evaluation. The award was also concerned with benefiting from experts in the agricultural field, such as environmental activist Mr. Muhammad Al-Mannai, in giving workshops and instructions on the best methods in Agriculture .As a result of the award, the Manama Police Station’s comprehensive building won first place due to its level of interest in increasing green plots and the adoption of scientific methods and means in the agricultural field. Among the trees of Ghaf and Samar on the dealers and residents of the region, which had the effect of enhancing community participation and raising the percentage of customer satisfaction and the general impression of the center.Whereas, the warehouse department building in the Support Services Department won the second place for adopting environmental alternatives by providing approximately 20,000 liters of water throughout the year, using the water produced by air conditioners for irrigation and agricultural work.
The Transportation Department building of the Support Services Department won the third place for its role in caring for environmental and local trees and its cultivation of canopy and fruit trees.The team leader added that the award included three individual awards for sustainability champions from employees of the General Command of Ajman Police who promote an interest in the environment, and he won the sustainability champion award in the field of environmental alternatives The use of alternative energy to illuminate the positions and installations in which he worked.
