The Supervision and Consumer Protection Department of the Department of Economic Development honored a number of officers and individuals at the Al Hamidiya Police Station in the General Command of Ajman Police, in appreciation of their efforts and positive cooperation in combating counterfeiting and counterfeit goods in the Emirate of Ajman during 2019.
The award was received by Major Abdullah Khalfan Abdullah Al-Nuaimi, Director of the Office of the Deputy Commander in Chief, from Mr. Majed Nasser Al-Suwaidi, Director of the Inspection and Follow-up Department at the Department of Economic Development. Captain Nasser Rashid Al-Ghafli and a number of officers and individuals were also honored, in the presence of Mr. Hassan Ali Al-Shehhi, Director of the Anti-Fraud Department Al-Tijari, and Mr. Sulaiman Dawood Al-Dhaheri, Director of Public Relations at the Department of Economic Development.
The Director of the Office of the Deputy Commander in Chief thanked the delegation of the Department of Economic Development for the generous gesture, stressing that what the Ajman Police is doing is a national and moral duty towards trademark owners to protect consumers from the harms of handling counterfeit goods in the emirate.
For his part, the delegation of the Department of Economic Development thanked the Ajman police and its leadership for their fruitful cooperation in the areas of control, inspection and seizures of counterfeit goods, which contributed to strengthening the safe economic and investment environment in the emirate, wishing them a successful career path crowned with excellence in prosperity.
