The Local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the Emirate of Ajman follows up on efforts to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus

H. E. Major General Sheikh/ Sultan Abdullah Al Nu’aimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police and Head of the Local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team of the Emirate of Ajman, headed the team extraordinary meeting to follow up the efforts of the team members in limiting the spread of the Coronavirus, in the presence of managers and representatives of federal and local government agencies in the Emirate, via video-conference.

H. E. the Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police Commenced the meeting by welcoming the attendees, appreciating their efforts in tackling the Coronavirus and limiting its spread in the Emirate of Ajman, praising the efforts made in awareness, disinfection, and continuous follow-up of the affairs according to what achieves security and safety and guarantees the health of community members.

During the meeting, the current situation and the course of events in the Emirate of Ajman were discussed in light of the crisis of the spread of the Coronavirus in the world, and consideration of the procedures followed and challenges facing the work teams in the performance of their assigned tasks.

The preventive measures of the workers’ barracks, the organizational structure of the quarantine response team, and the provision of logistical support as required by the stage were also reviewed and discussed.

The participants came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the formation of a task force from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation to support the efforts of Ajman Medical District in facing the Coronavirus in the evaluation and investigation of the labor barracks, and the inventory of requirements of security teams and service and logistical needs and providing them.

At the end of the meeting, H. E. the Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police and Team Leader praised the efforts made by the Local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in addressing the virus, guiding the need to intensify efforts, cooperation and coordination between all parties at the local level, stressing the importance of work and dedication and developing capabilities and capabilities according to emergency events.
