Ajman Police applies the system of depositing monetary amounts to the inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Institution remotely in cooperation with the Ajman Bank

In support of health and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, and to preserve the safety of employees and customers from relatives of inmates, the Police General Headquarters of Ajman, in cooperation with the Ajman Bank, implemented a "system of depositing monetary amounts to the inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Institution remotely", within the framework of supporting the governmental orientation in the smart transformation to provide remote services to ensure the safety and protection of community members. H. E. Brigadier General/ Mubarak Khalfan Al-Razi, Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution in Ajman, said that the implementation of the system of depositing monetary amounts to the inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Institution remotely came as part of a series of preventive and precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, by limiting the presence of relatives of the Institution inmates to hand over paper cash amounts so that this money is deposited for them in a dedicated account in Ajman Bank. H. E. added that the families of the inmates can go to any branch of Ajman Bank in all emirates of the state, and deposit the amount to be delivered to the inmate, in the Institution’s account attached to the inmate’s name and his unified number. In turn, the Institution receives the monetary amounts from the Bank and deposits them in the personal accounts of the inmates in the Institution to benefit from them according to what the inmate needs, such as shopping from the smart supermarket available in the Institution for the inmates. The Director of the Punitive and Correctional Institution in Ajman explained that activating the remote deposit system greatly reduces the mixing of relatives of the Institution inmates with employees during their attendance at the Institution and limits the use of paper money. This system also saves time, effort, and the trouble of coming to the Institution’s headquarters to deposit monetary amounts, and enhances their commitment to staying in homes, to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
