Within the framework of the Ajman Police General Command's endeavor to achieve the Ministry of Interior's strategic goal of enhancing customer happiness with the services provided, and supporting the smart transformation in services, the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department at the Traffic Services and Licensing Center of Ajman Police completed 10875 digital technical examination certificates for vehicles since the service was launched early last July. This is in support of the partnership's role in developing and providing high-quality services that suit the needs of customers, and in the interest of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department to ensure business continuity and to achieve the highest safety standards for customers and employees.
Colonel Sultan Khalifa Abu Muhair, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, said that the service of issuing a digital vehicle inspection certificate came in conjunction with precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus in cooperation with the Speed Center for Vehicle Inspection and Registration, and the service has been developed to be fully electronic, where the vehicle is examined and issued Inspection certificate without the need for the driver to leave the vehicle, in addition to electronic payment and receiving a link via text messages to display an approved vehicle inspection certificate, which supports the achievement of social distancing and avoids direct contact between employees and customers.
The Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department confirmed that the digital vehicle inspection certificate is the first digital service at the level of vehicle and machinery inspection centers in the country, and comes in line with the directions of the Ajman Police General Command to limit direct interaction in order to preserve the safety of the public and workers, to achieve the highest safety rates.
