As part of its continuous efforts to achieve the Ministry of Interior's strategic goal of enhancing road security, the General Command of Ajman Police implemented a unified traffic awareness campaign nationwide under the slogan "sudden deviation" to educate drivers about the dangers arising from sudden deviation on the road, in implementation of the traffic sector initiatives to improve road safety And achieve the highest levels of traffic safety.His Excellency Lieutenant Colonel Saif Abdullah Al Falasi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, said that this campaign was launched with the aim of educating drivers about the dangers resulting from a sudden deviation on the road and what caused by the deviation or changing the lane without giving a warning signal to road users with its intention to change its lane, in a state of confusion in traffic that may reach Traffic accidents that can threaten the safety and security of drivers, especially if it is associated with high speed, resulting in deaths and serious injuries.His Excellency added that among the causes of the sudden deviation of vehicle drivers is negligence, lack of attention, or leaving enough distance between vehicles, exceeding the maximum permitted speed on the road or entering it without making sure that it is empty, in addition to being preoccupied with the phone and the driver feeling tired, exhausted, and sleeping while driving. The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department called on drivers to adhere to traffic laws, use the traffic light and make sure that the lane is clear before moving to it and looking over the shoulder level, and moving from one lane to another gradually, indicating that a sudden swerving of the vehicle according to the Traffic Law, requires the driver to pay a fine Financial amount1000 dirhams and four traffic points are added to his record, and that the violation of overtaking in a wrong way obliges the driver to pay a traffic violation of 600 dirhams and six traffic points, and that overtaking from a place where overtaking is prohibited requires the driver to pay a fine of 600 dirhams, as for non-compliance with the heavy vehicle With the obligatory driving line, the driver is required to pay a fine of 400 dirhams
