Ajman Police approves electronic ownership of vehicles of government, semi-government sectors and private companies
As part of its continuous efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and happiness with
the services provided, and in line with the government’s drive for smart
transformation, the Ajman Police General Command has adopted for its customers
the electronic ownership of vehicles of government and semi-governmental
departments and vehicles of private companies.
Colonel Sultan Khalifa Abu Muhair, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing
Department, said that Ajman Police has approved electronic ownership of vehicles
in the governmental, semi-governmental and private sectors starting from May 1,
2022, and excludes public transport companies (buses and trucks) that are required
to carry the vehicle ownership card to cross borders and ports, pointing out The
Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department will permanently stop printing the
licenses for the aforementioned categories, and customers can obtain ownership
through the Federal Vehicle Gateway, EVG.ae, without the need to print the original
ownership card.
The Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department added that this
decision came as part of the Ajman Police's efforts to achieve Ajman's vision of
building a green economy, by reducing the percentage of printing vehicle ownership,
which saves the cost of printing and reduces the fees for printing and delivering
property ownership.
