Ajman Police implements the unified traffic campaign “Safe Driving for Cyclists”

The Ajman Police General Command implemented the first unified traffic campaign for the year 2024 for the Ministry of Interior under the slogan “Safe Driving for Cyclists”, with the aim of enhancing traffic awareness among this category, by emphasizing the necessity of adhering to instructions and following the necessary guidelines for traffic safety on the roads in order to preserve lives and property, and achieve Safe driving to reduce accidents and serious injuries. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Khalifa bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said that the campaign came to spread awareness and traffic culture among drivers of motorcycles, electric and bicycles, with the aim of reducing phenomena and wrong behaviour, and giving all road users their rights to use it to achieve the highest levels of safety, and raise the level of compliance with regulations. The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department indicated that the campaign includes sending awareness messages to drivers of all types of bicycles to ensure their safety on the roads, and urging them to adhere to applying traffic laws related to bicycle riding at all stages before and during driving, and to adhere to all security and safety requirements that must be followed when riding bicycles. Which consists of adhering to the designated roads and paths, and their riders respecting traffic laws, wearing a helmet and wearing appropriate clothing and safety tools when driving, ensuring the safety of the tires and brakes and the suitability of the bike before riding it, adhering to the correct path while riding the bike on internal and public roads or bike paths, and not riding.
