Ajman Police enhances road security by implementing the Stay Safe campaign

The Traffic and Patrols Department at the Ajman Police General Command implemented the second sub-traffic campaign for the year 2024 under the slogan “Your Commitment is Safety,” to enhance awareness of the importance of adhering to vehicle paths and routes as determined by the roads, not overtaking from places other than the permitted places, and strictly adhering to the set speeds. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said that the Ajman Police’s implementation of the campaign came with the aim of enhancing the awareness of community members and road users about traffic violations and wrong behaviors committed by some drivers, such as swerving, sudden lane changes, and illegal overtaking, in addition to exceeding road speed limits. Which may threaten the security and safety of road users by causing traffic accidents. The Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department pointed out that the Federal Traffic Law and its executive regulations stipulate that a sudden deviation fine is 1,000 dirhams and 4 traffic points. He warned of the danger of moving suddenly with the aim of suddenly changing the lane to another lane without using the warning signal, because this may expose The lives of road users are at risk. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi added that the campaign includes spreading traffic awareness through print media, radio and television channels, implementing in-person awareness lectures by traffic personnel for various government and private agencies, distributing flyers to drivers and road users, in addition to raising awareness through social media and in different languages to target... The widest possible segment of the public and their awareness with the aim of reaching the highest levels of road safety, and reducing the rate of traffic accidents to their lowest levels to achieve the vision of the Federal Government and the Ministry of Interior for the United Arab Emirates to be one of the safest and best countries in the world.
