Ajman Police enhances traffic safety by implementing the "Our Students Are a Trust" initiative for students at Bloomington Academy School.

As part of its efforts to enhance the safety and security of school students, the Traffic and Patrols Department at the Ajman Police General Command implemented a traffic awareness campaign titled "Our Students Are a Trust." The campaign aimed to educate students at Bloomington Academy School about the safe use of bicycles and scooters. Captain Hamdan Ahmed Al Raisi, Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch at the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, said the initiative aims to educate students about the safe use of bicycles and scooters, adhere to the rules and regulations related to road safety and road users, and prevent the risk of accidents or causing them as a result of incorrect behavior by some cyclists, such as crossing the road from the wrong place and walking between vehicles on public roads, which can disrupt traffic and cause accidents that endanger the lives of drivers. The Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch gave an awareness lecture to the school students, which addressed awareness of the importance of adhering to safety requirements, such as using helmets, arm and knee protectors, and fluorescent clothing while driving at night. He also highlighted the importance of controlling the bike and scooter by using both hands, driving on the right side of the road in the direction of traffic, giving the necessary signal before turning, and ensuring the safety of the bike and its brakes, as well as the availability of reflectors on the wheels, in addition to an alarm bell.
