Ajman Police warn drivers to avoid random parking during Qiyam prayers in the emirate's mosques.

The Ajman Police General Command has urged drivers to avoid random parking in front of mosques during the night prayers during the holy month of Ramadan. This is to maintain smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion, which could impede vehicle movement and affect the safety of worshippers and pedestrians. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, confirmed that traffic police patrols have increased their presence near mosques to regulate traffic and monitor violating vehicles. He emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic laws and not obstructing public roads or entrances to residential neighborhoods. The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department explained that random parking could block lanes for emergency vehicles and ambulances, causing accidents and run-overs, putting the lives of others at risk. He urged worshippers to cooperate and adhere to the instructions of traffic officers to ensure that prayers are performed in a safe and comfortable environment for all. Lieutenant Colonel Bin Hindi indicated that Ajman Police will take the necessary measures against violators in accordance with applicable traffic laws. A fine of AED 500 will be imposed on anyone who commits the following violations: parking behind vehicles, obstructing their movement, stopping at intersections and turns, and parking incorrectly. A fine of AED 400 will be imposed on anyone who parked in a manner that endangers pedestrians, parking on sidewalks, or parking in a manner that obstructs pedestrian movement. He warned against parking in spaces designated for people of determination, which carries a fine of AED 1,000 and six black points. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, emphasized that adherence to traffic regulations enhances traffic safety and the safety of road users, reflects community awareness, and promotes the values of shared responsibility during the holy month.
