accidents and ensure road safety.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols
Department at Ajman Police, said that Ajman Police's participation in Gulf Traffic Week
comes within the framework of enhancing awareness among various segments and groups
of society and spreading the concepts of traffic culture among them, especially drivers and
road users. It is an important platform for communicating with members of the community
and introducing them to the traffic services provided by Ajman Police with the aim of
enhancing traffic safety and security on the roads. For his part, Captain Hamdan Ahmed Al
Raisi, Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch, indicated that the current
edition of the Gulf Traffic Week focuses on raising awareness of the importance of driving
without using a mobile phone, given the risks it poses to the safety of drivers and road
users. The Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch explained that Ajman
Police's participation in the Gulf Traffic Week included showcasing the most prominent
traffic innovations and services and distributing informational leaflets to promote a culture
of safe driving, particularly the dangers of using a mobile phone while driving, which is
one of the leading causes of traffic accidents. This participation comes within the
