The General Command of Ajman Police participated in the first-of-its-kind International K9 Forum in the region, organized by Dubai Police at the Police Officers Club in Al Jaddaf from April 18 to 20, 2025. Police dog units from various police agencies across the country, including Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman Police, participated in live demonstrations that showcased the skills of police dogs in the areas of explosives and drug detection, search and rescue, obedience, and discipline.
Major Saif Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the K9 Security Inspection Branch at Ajman Police, said that the branch's participation in the International K9 Forum is part of the police's efforts to develop the security inspection system and enhance community awareness of the role of police dogs in protecting society and the multiple tasks they undertake, including providing security support and backup in inspections, searching for missing persons, drugs, and explosives, in addition to assisting in riot control, rescue, and other tasks that enhance community security. The Director of the K9 Security Inspection Branch at Ajman Police added that nine dogs with various specialties, supervised by eight qualified trainers, participated in the forum. The trainers' expertise and experience in training dogs to be obedient, disciplined, and perform assigned tasks with high professionalism, achieving their intended goals were highlighted.
