Ajman Police Launches "Our Summer is Safe and Secure" Campaign to Promote Community Awareness and Safety

As part of its ongoing efforts to protect lives and property and promote safety during the summer, the Ajman Police General Command, represented by the Media and Public Relations Department, launched an awareness campaign titled "Our Summer is Safe and Secure" to raise community awareness of the dangers of high temperatures during the summer. Lieutenant Colonel Noura Sultan Al Shamsi, Head of the Media and Public Relations Department, said that the campaign aims to raise community awareness about public safety precautions during the summer. It includes raising awareness about the safety of beachgoers by highlighting the dangers of swimming without taking safety precautions, supervising children in open home pools, and preventing them from entering pools unaccompanied and under close supervision. The Head of the Media and Public Relations Department indicated that the campaign highlights the dangers of leaving children inside vehicles, especially in high temperatures, which can lead to suffocation, given the dangers posed to their lives. She emphasized the need to be cautious of heat stress while working or driving, while adhering to vehicle inspections, which includes ensuring the safety of the air conditioning unit and tires as summer approaches, and avoiding leaving any flammable materials inside. Lieutenant Colonel Noura Al Shamsi explained that the campaign includes several methods for disseminating and raising awareness across various communication channels, with the goal of enhancing public safety and ensuring a safe, accident-free summer.
