A minor collision occurred between two school buses in the Al
Muwaihat area of Ajman. No injuries were reported among the students.
Police patrols immediately responded to the accident site and began
securing the area and regulating traffic.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the
Traffic and Patrols Department, explained that a report was received by
the operations room regarding an accident between two school buses as
students were returning from school in the Al Muwaihat area. Police
patrols immediately responded and began securing the site. Police
patrols, along with Saed and National Ambulance patrols, also played a
role in mapping the accident.
The Deputy Director of Traffic and Patrols added that mapping the
accident confirmed that the bus behind the bus failed to leave a
sufficient safety distance, as the two buses collided at low speed. He
noted that the National Ambulance conducted medical examinations and
checked on the students' health as a precautionary measure. He
confirmed that none of the students sustained any injuries, and that the
police took the necessary measures against the driver who caused the
accident. Lieutenant Colonel Rashid bin Hindi stressed the Ajman
Police's commitment to the safety of students and all road users, urging
drivers in general, and school bus drivers in particular, to adhere to
traffic rules, particularly maintaining a safe distance, to avoid accidents
and protect students from injury.
