Ajman Police warn against leaving the car running

On the other hand, he explained that this poses a danger to children if they are inside the vehicle while it is running, due to tampering with the vehicle's parts, which exposes their safety and the safety of others to serious accidents. As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance security and safety in the emirate, the Ajman Police General Command has warned against leaving vehicles running and driving them off-road, as this poses a significant risk of theft. Colonel Hisham Abdullah Bushhab, Director of the Operations Department at Ajman Police, confirmed that the warning was issued with the aim of spreading awareness of the consequences of leaving vehicles running while going out to relieve oneself, which constitutes a golden opportunity for the weak. He added that this misconduct is one of the main causes of vehicle thefts, and can be avoided with simple behavior, starting with the driver being aware of the need to not leave their vehicle running and ensuring that it is locked before leaving. The Director of Operations explained that the command is working to disseminate awareness messages through visual and audio media and social media platforms, and is implementing field campaigns alongside police patrols to directly educate drivers on the importance of turning off and completely shutting down vehicles, even for a short period of time, and of not leaving children in the vehicle. Colonel Hisham Abdullah Bushahab called on everyone to adhere to the police's security guidelines, emphasizing that protecting vehicles from theft begins with the driver himself, and that following preventative measures effectively contributes to reducing crime rates and enhancing community security.
