Ajman Police Commander-in-Chief launches AJP AI platform to respond to customer inquiries
His Excellency Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-
in-Chief of Ajman Police, launched the AJP AI smart platform, the first artificial
intelligence platform officially adopted to respond to non-urgent customer inquiries.
Through this platform, the 901 call center was transformed into a smart platform,
allowing communication and dispatch via the number 800901. This is part of Ajman
Police's ongoing efforts to develop digital services and enhance the quality of life for
the community.
His Excellency the Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police stated that the launch of this
platform supports the UAE government's efforts to improve the level of government
services, enhancing customer happiness and meeting their aspirations. He noted that
the platform was developed in collaboration with specialized technical partners to
integrate with Ajman Police's smart systems and provide a flexible and fast user
experience, saving time and effort for customers. His Excellency Major General
Sheikh Sultan Al Nuaimi explained that the project relies on artificial intelligence and
machine learning technologies, and is based on an extensive database and an advanced
linguistic understanding network capable of handling various general inquiries. He
added that the platform operates via messaging via the WhatsApp number 800901,
allowing customers to submit their inquiries in writing or via voice recording. The
smart system then responds in the same manner, with high accuracy, and in the
language of the customer's choice, including various Arabic dialects. For his part,
Colonel Hisham Abdullah Abu Shahab, Director of the Operations Department at
Ajman Police, explained that the AJP AI platform represents a qualitative leap in the
provision of police services, enabling customers to receive immediate responses to any
inquiries about all services provided by Ajman Police, including traffic services such
as opening a traffic file and licensing services such as vehicle registration renewal. In
addition, inquiries about security and criminal services such as filing a report and
applying for a criminal record certificate are also available, as well as community
services and inquiries about frequently asked questions. All of this is accomplished
through artificial intelligence, using an easy and direct means of communication
supported in multiple languages, 24/7, without human intervention.
He added that this platform is part of the first phase of employing artificial
intelligence projects in police services, as Ajman Police is working to expand the
scope to include other functional tasks in the future as part of the integrated
transformation to artificial intelligence at the Ajman Police General Command. His
Excellency called on the public to take advantage of the new platform by
communicating and sending messages to 800901, to gain a new interactive experience
in responding to inquiries in a smart and effective manner that meets expectations.
