Ajman Police's Traffic and Patrols Department launches an awareness campaign to curb unlicensed driving.

The Ajman Police Traffic and Patrols Department has launched a two-month awareness campaign on the dangers of driving without a license. This campaign is part of its commitment to enhancing traffic safety and reducing wrongful behavior on the roads. Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Al Khaja, Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department, emphasized that the campaign is part of Ajman Police's ongoing efforts to spread traffic awareness among members of the community and highlight the serious risks of driving without an approved driver's license, which poses a significant threat to the lives of drivers and road users. He noted that the Traffic Law grants tourists and visitors the right to drive if they have an approved international license. However, those with residency permits must obtain a UAE license to avoid fines. The Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department explained that the campaign aims to raise awareness of the dangers of illegal driving, particularly driving without a license. He noted that this violation requires the violator to be referred to the relevant center for legal action and penalties. Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Al Khaja added that driving without a license is a serious violation, stressing that Ajman Police will intensify traffic controls during the campaign to apprehend violators and take legal action against them. He called on all members of society, especially the youth, to abide by traffic laws and not drive without an official driver's license, to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.
