Zero delivery bike accidents in Ajman
Ajman Police General Command has achieved a significant milestone in its efforts to enhance road safety in
the emirate, achieving zero accidents involving delivery motorcycles six months after the Traffic and Patrols
Department launched its "Safe Route" traffic awareness campaign in 2025.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at
Ajman Police, stated that traffic statistics showed a remarkable 56% decrease in delivery motorcycle
accidents compared to the period before the campaign. The number of serious accidents dropped from six to
zero, and minor accidents from one to zero. This reflects the campaign's positive impact on raising traffic
awareness among delivery motorcycle drivers and promoting adherence to traffic regulations and laws.
Lieutenant Colonel bin Hindi clarified that all recorded accidents were accidents involving victims and not
caused by the delivery motorcycle drivers themselves. This demonstrates a significant improvement in traffic
discipline among this group following intensified awareness programs and field monitoring. He added that
the Ajman Dar Al Aman smart system recorded 6,201 traffic violations related to dangerous behavior by
motorcyclists, resulting in the impounding of 107 motorcycles for serious offenses such as driving against the
flow of traffic, in prohibited areas, or in a manner that endangers the lives of drivers and other road users.
He emphasized that Ajman Police continues to monitor and address negative behaviors to protect lives and
property.
The Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department pointed out that the “Safe Route” campaign is
part of the Ajman Police General Command’s efforts within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s
strategy to make roads safer and support Ajman Vision 2030 in enhancing quality of life. He confirmed that
the campaign will continue in the coming phase through field awareness campaigns, smart monitoring, and
cooperation with delivery companies to ensure a safe and sustainable traffic environment.
