Ajman Police raise the level of security and traffic readiness to secure the 2026 celebrations

Ajman Police General Command announced the completion of its comprehensive security and traffic plans to secure the New Year's celebrations in 2026. This initiative reflects its commitment to enhancing public safety and ensuring smooth traffic flow during the festivities, particularly in tourist areas and other vital locations that experience high visitor traffic. Brigadier Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi, Director General of Police Operations and Head of the Ajman Events and Celebrations Security Team, confirmed that Ajman Police has mobilized all its human and technological resources to secure the New Year's celebrations. This includes intensifying security and traffic presence at tourist sites and event venues, deploying 130 security and traffic patrols and traffic officers around the clock to ensure public safety and enhance the sense of security and reassurance. The Director General of Police Operations noted that the security plan for the events is based on rapid response and high readiness to handle any emergency. It also involves intensified field monitoring and coordination with strategic partners to ensure the success of the celebrations without any security or traffic disruptions. Brigadier Abdullah Saif Al Matroushi urged the public to abide by the laws of the country and respect public order, avoiding negative behaviors that could cause disturbance or disrupt the festive atmosphere, such as excessive use of vehicle horns or unorganized gatherings. He emphasized the importance of community cooperation in reporting any negative incidents or security concerns through the "Share with Security" service available on the Ajman Police smart application, and by calling 999 for emergency reports. For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, explained that the department is fully prepared to regulate traffic flow, reduce congestion, ensure the safety of road users, and address dangerous driving practices such as reckless driving or performing stunts with vehicles and motorcycles on public roads. He stressed the importance of ensuring smooth traffic flow and reducing accidents and violations. He also appealed to drivers, especially young people, to adhere to traffic laws and regulations and drive responsibly to protect lives and property, wishing everyone safe celebrations and a peaceful and stable new year.
