Ajman Police launches its first sub-campaign, "Pedestrian Safety," to enhance road safety and protect lives.
Ajman Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, launched its first sub-
campaign under the slogan "Pedestrian Safety" as part of its traffic awareness plan for this year. The
campaign, which began on February 9, 2026, and will continue until the end of March, aims to promote a
culture of traffic safety and reduce pedestrian accidents, thereby contributing to the protection of lives and
property and creating a safe traffic environment for all.
Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Yousef Al Khaja, Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department, stated that the
campaign is part of Ajman Police's ongoing efforts to raise awareness among all segments of society and
intensify educational messages about the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations, particularly
those related to the proper use of pedestrian crossings and paying attention while crossing the road. It also
emphasizes urging drivers to reduce their speed and give pedestrians the right of way.
The Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department confirmed that the campaign will include field awareness
programs, informational brochures, and educational content on social media platforms and the website, in
addition to collaborating with strategic partners to reach the widest possible segment of the community.
Lieutenant Colonel Fouad Al Khaja added that pedestrian safety is a priority for the Traffic and Patrols
Department, and we are continuously working to implement awareness initiatives and campaigns that
contribute to reducing traffic accident rates and promoting safe crossing behaviors among pedestrians, in
addition to raising the level of drivers’ commitment to traffic laws. He called on members of the community
to cooperate with the campaign and adhere to traffic guidelines and instructions, in order to preserve their
safety and the safety of others, stressing that traffic safety is a collective responsibility that requires
everyone’s cooperation.
