Ajman Police organize awareness lectures for delivery motorcycle drivers for a number of private companies in the emirate.

As part of its ongoing awareness efforts within the main traffic campaign, "Towards a Safe Road for All Users," and in line with its pedestrian safety initiative, the Ajman Police General Command, represented by the Traffic and Patrols Department, organized a series of awareness lectures targeting motorcycle drivers working for several delivery companies, including Talabat, Mecca Pharmacy, Deliveroo, and others. These lectures aimed to instill safe driving practices and reinforce the commitment of delivery motorcycle drivers to traffic laws, given their status as one of the most frequent road users. Emphasis was placed on the importance of adhering to speed limits, wearing helmets and reflective vests, and ensuring the motorcycle is in good working order, particularly regarding tire and brake condition, before setting off. The lectures also included practical guidance on the necessity of staying in designated lanes, avoiding sudden swerving or improper overtaking, and respecting pedestrians' right-of-way and ensuring their safe crossing, especially in residential and commercial areas, thus contributing to the safety of all road users. The lecturers reviewed the most prominent causes of accidents related to delivery bikes, and provided guidelines for safe handling of different weather conditions, and the importance of being vigilant and focused while driving, in order to achieve the campaign’s objectives of reducing traffic accidents and enhancing the quality of life in the community.
