Ajman ranks first globally in the sense of safety index.
The Emirate of Ajman has topped the global rankings in the "Feeling Safe" index, placing it among the top
ten safest cities in the world, according to Numbeo's report for the first half of 2026. This ranking reaffirms
the success of the emirate's integrated security system and reinforces the UAE's position as one of the best
countries in the world to live, work, and invest in, thanks to its secure, stable, and high-quality environment.
This ranking underscores Ajman's prominent position among the world's safest cities and reflects the
effectiveness of its institutional efforts, which combine developing police services, enhancing field readiness,
improving response times, and expanding community partnerships. This collaborative approach ensures that
security remains a cornerstone of social stability and the emirate's development.
The Ajman Statistics Center is responsible for monitoring the index and ensuring coordination with all
relevant stakeholders to guarantee data accuracy and integrate efforts aimed at maintaining and enhancing
these achievements.
Ajman Police Chief, Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, affirmed that this achievement
reflects the fruits of the wise leadership's forward-looking vision, the continuous development of the security
system, and the reliance on the latest smart technologies and artificial intelligence to support police work.
This enhances proactive security, elevates the quality of security services, and ensures a proactive response to
evolving security challenges.
He explained that Ajman Police has adopted an integrated security model based on employing artificial
intelligence, big data analysis, and predictive technologies to bolster community security. The "Ajman, the
City of Safety" system has contributed to raising the efficiency of smart security monitoring and linking
security systems to real-time analysis platforms capable of anticipating risks, monitoring security indicators,
and taking proactive measures before incidents occur. This supports rapid decision-making and enhances the
efficiency of field response.
He stated that this achievement resulted from the implementation of a package of security initiatives and
specialized projects, most notably the tourist patrol, the "Aman" patrols, the "For Your Protection" project for
protecting buildings and facilities, crime reduction programs, smart electronic patrols for combating drugs, in
addition to developing the smart traffic control system, monitoring and control systems supported by smart
analytics, and awareness campaigns based on behavioral and data analysis, as well as enhancing security
readiness and increasing the speed of response to incidents and emergencies.
He pointed out that community policing played a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life and security
through launching innovative community initiatives that strengthened trust and partnership with community
members. Police stations also contributed to improving the customer experience through specialized
initiatives, including follow-up contact, positive customer engagement, and the proactive "For Your Service"
patrol, which provides security services to senior citizens, residents, women, and people with disabilities in
their places of residence, embodying the concept of a police force close to the community.
He affirmed that this achievement was made possible thanks to the great attention and generous patronage of
His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman,
the support of His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman
of the Executive Council, and the continuous follow-up and sound guidance of His Highness Lieutenant
General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. This support
served as an impetus for developing a world-class security system based on innovation, artificial intelligence,
and sustainability, contributing to enhancing the UAE's global competitiveness.
He explained that achieving first place globally in the sense of security is a direct reflection of the integrated
security efforts with partners. It also contributes to supporting the national economy, enhancing the emirate's
attractiveness for investment and tourism, and achieving the goals of "We Are the UAE 2031" and Ajman
Vision 2030, by building a safer, more prosperous society with a higher quality of life.
At the end of his statement, the Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police expressed his thanks and appreciation
to all officers, non-commissioned officers, personnel, employees, and strategic partners, stressing that this
global achievement is the fruit of working as one team, and an incentive to continue innovating and
developing a smart security system that makes Ajman a global model in security, safety, and quality of life.
