Ajman Police Successfully Welcomes the 2026–2027 Academic Year with the "A Safe Road for Our Students" Campaign
Ajman Police General Headquarters has successfully welcomed the new 2026–2027 academic year by implementing a comprehensive traffic plan as part of the "A Safe Road for Our Students" campaign. The initiative aims to secure areas surrounding schools, enhance traffic flow, and ensure the safe and secure commute of students between their homes and schools.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at Ajman Police, stated that the force had prepared an integrated traffic plan to secure school zones and access roads—particularly during morning rush hours and at the end of the school day—thereby fostering a safe traffic environment for students, parents, and educational staff.
The Deputy Director explained that the plan involved deploying traffic patrols and police personnel across the emirate, with an intensified field presence in front of schools and on high-traffic roads. These measures aim to regulate traffic, minimize congestion and violations, and facilitate the safe, organized entry and exit of school buses and private vehicles.
Lieutenant Colonel Rashid Humaid Bin Hindi emphasized that student safety is a top priority for Ajman Police. He urged drivers and parents to cooperate with traffic patrols and officers, adhere to speed limits, avoid haphazard parking in front of schools, and come to a complete stop when the "Stop" arm on school buses is deployed. Separately, a team from the Traffic and Patrols Department—in collaboration with the Community Protection and Prevention Department—visited several schools in the Emirate of Ajman. They participated in welcoming students on their first day and congratulating them on the start of the new academic year. This initiative fostered a positive atmosphere, reflecting Ajman Police's commitment to engaging with students, bringing them joy, and reinforcing their sense of safety and security. Police officers and personnel in the Masfout and Al Manama areas also took part in welcoming the students and extending their congratulations, wishing them a safe and successful academic year.
Captain Hamdan Al Raisi, Director of the Traffic Awareness and Media Branch, stated that the team distributed gifts to the students and provided traffic safety advice and guidelines. These included instructions on crossing the road safely, using designated pedestrian areas, adhering to rules for boarding and alighting from school buses, and avoiding standing in front of or behind buses and vehicles.
